Brenner Children's Hospital NC License Plate

Brenner Children’s Hospital is offering a special NC license plate through the Brenner Children’s Hospital Development Office and the NC Division of Motor Vehicles.  For each Brenner Children’s Hospital license plate, we will receive $20 to support the Family Centered Care Program and the Children’s Cancer Patient Support Funds. This special license plate will be adorned with the Brenner Children’s Hospital logo.

Brenner Children’s Hospital must receive a minimum of 300 license plate applications and fees by April 1, 2013, before the NC Division of Motor Vehicles will begin issuing the specialty license plate. We have received 58 applications as of May 1, 2012. If we do not receive 300 applications by April 1, 2013 we will reimburse each individual who paid for a plate.

The plate fee of $30 is an annual fee, due in addition to the regular license fee every year when you purchase the validation sticker for your plate. When your new plate arrives, it will also include a new sticker and registration card.  Your registration due date will remain the same.  

When the Division of Motor Vehicles begins issuing the license plates, a plate will be issued and mailed to the individuals whose current plate is not expiring within the next three months and do not have any stops on their vehicle record.  Those with plates expiring within the next three months will receive a letter from the DMV requesting that you pay the license renewal fee.  Once they receive the license renewal fee, the DMV will issue the our special license plate to expire a year from when it currently expires. Those that do not receive a plate will receive a letter from the Division explaining what is needed in order for their special plate.
