Welcome to the Friends of Brenner Children’s Hospital Website
Twenty-two years! This is how long the Friends of Brenner Children’s Hospital has been supporting one of the most valuable assets in our community. Friends started with a handful of dedicated volunteers, who recognized the need to raise community awareness of Brenner through fund raising and support. Today, Friends is 900 volunteers strong and involved in everything from the Festival of Trees, to Cheers!, to the WMAG Radiothon and much, much more. Friends give an hour, a day, a week ... there is a time and a fulfilling opportunity for everyone.
As Friends begins its 22nd year, I encourage each of you to connect or re-connect with us. Find a place where you can be involved and can help. You can start by attending our Friends meetings. Friends gather several times a year to talk about upcoming fund-raising events, volunteer opportunities and the latest news on children’s health care. We’ll make time for conversation among old and new friends, too. Hopefully something you see or hear will inspire you.
EVERYTHING we do on behalf of Brenner, from attending a Friends member meeting to volunteering at the Festival of Trees, makes a difference for patients and families served by Brenner. PLEASE find your volunteer niche with Friends of Brenner, and help us help others.
The definition of a volunteer is someone who works without receiving payment, but I can assure you that you will be “paid” in immeasurable ways! You’ll receive more in return than you can ever give.
I am honored to serve as president of Friends this year, and am looking forward to working with so many wonderful and talented volunteers. Thank you for being a Friend of Brenner!
