June 3, 2011 marks the 23nd Annual Brenner Children’s Hospital Celebrity Golf Classic -- one of the most popular golf events in North Carolina.

Money raised through corporate sponsorship and individual player fees is directed to Brenner Children’s Hospital, part of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. The Children’s Hospital is dedicated to treating the physical and emotional needs of children. From 1989 through 2010, the Classic has raised well over $1,500,000 for Brenner Children’s Hospital.

The one day “Captain’s Choice” event pairs a sports celebrity or regional pro with five amateur partners. Once again the Classic is being played at Tanglewood Golf Club in Clemmons, North Carolina.

The major factor in the tournament’s success is the support received from businesses and volunteers. Whether a sponsor of the tournament, a hole sponsor, or volunteer their generosity in the giving of their financial support, services, time and enthusiasm has truly made the Classic a quality event.
