I'll show you some of the things you will be doing while you are here.
Treatment
The doctors will tell you how we're going to figure out what your problem is and how we're going to make you better. That could mean taking medicines, getting certain types of exercise or just plain rest. Other teens may be doing the same things you are and you will get to know each other. You will get lots of attention, day and night. The doctors and nurses will take a look at you several times a day, taking your temperature and blood pressure and all. Those kinds of things happen to everybody who stays in the hospital.

Rest
At some point during your visit, your doctors may want you to rest. That means taking it easy, maybe being quiet, staying in the bed for a while, watching television and videos, reading, playing games, taking your time. The doctors, nurses and other staff will let you know when you can get moving again.

Hanging Out
Your doctors may want you to move around at some point and may suggest a walk down the hallway or a trip to the teen room where you can pick out games, books and crafts or shoot a game or pool or play video games. Volunteers are here most of the time to assist you if you need any help, such as bringing some of the equipment or games to your room.
