Comforting Facts About Brenner Children’s Hospital

·         Brenner treats young patients from birth to age 18.

·         Over 4,500 children are admitted to Brenner Children’s Hospital each year.

• Brenner Children’s Hospital is staffed by physicians representing all pediatric surgical specialties. Currently, the hospital has over 35 pediatric residents in training to become board-certified pediatricians.
  
  
• Brenner Children’s Hospital provides a full-continuum of care with a pediatric emergency room, pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, infant, children, and adolescent inpatient units and outpatient clinics.
• In addition to services at Brenner Children’s Hospital, our physicians also conduct 24 outpatient, outreach clinics, seeing over 1,100 patients annually in 13 counties across western North Carolina and southern Virginia.
• In addition to clinical care, the pediatric faculty conduct basic and/or clinical research into diseases that affect children, a substantial portion of which is supported by federal and industrial funding.
