The Brenner pediatric anesthesiology department is the leading program of its kind in western North Carolina. Our specially trained pediatric anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists provide exceptional care and treatment for pediatric patients and work closely with all specialties at Brenner to ensure the best possible anesthesia and pain management care for our patients.

 Our team of board-certified pediatric anesthesiologists is led by medical director Timothy E. Smith, MD, and includes pediatric anesthesiologists specially trained in the care of pediatric patients with congenital heart disease.
