Brenner’s Heart Program offers families and their children access to some of the most sophisticated cardiac technology and procedures. We provide comprehensive heart care for patients before the time they are born, throughout childhood and well into adulthood and provide exceptional care to pediatric heart patients in North Carolina, southern Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee and beyond.
The Heart Program at Brenner offers leading-edge surgical capabilities and is led by Dr. Ross Ungerleider, the most experienced pediatric heart surgeon in North Carolina and a recognized leader in the field. “Our goal at Brenner Children’s Hospital is to provide a comprehensive program offering the full range of cardiovascular surgeries and to deliver care that exceeds the standard of excellence,” said Ungerleider.
In addition to providing the latest in heart surgery services, the Heart Program includes an active fetal and transesophageal echo program, a pulmonary hypertension clinic, several outreach clinics and lipid and hypertension/metabolic syndrome clinics.
