The Brenner pediatric urology department is the largest program for the care of children with urological conditions between Washington, DC and Atlanta.
Our expert pediatric urologists, led by Dr. Gordon McLorie, are trained in both pediatrics and their specialty and are internationally recognized as leaders in urological research and clinical care. We collaborate with more than 120 specialists at Brenner and our patients’ primary and specialist physicians to ensure comprehensive care and treatment.
Our department is engaged in some of the world’s most cutting-edge research and clinical practices through our work with the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Our physicians were the first in the world to grow bladders in the laboratory from patients’ own cells and implanting the bladders in the patients.
