Contact with faculty represents one of the major strengths of our Program. We recognize the importance of our faculty members interacting directly with our residents. Residents on inpatient services confer daily with attendings concerning patient management problems. Informal discussions between house officers and faculty represent the usual method of decision making regarding patient care. We recognize that such discussions not only offer the best approach to dealing with clinical issues but also that learning takes place most effectively in this setting.
