Program Overview
The following is a synopsis of the strengths of Wake Forest University School of Medicine’s Training Program:

| A Resident oriented training program that provides close faculty back-up and appropriately graduated responsibility from the PL-1 year to the PL-3 year. | 
| A brand new, state-of-the-art tertiary referral center where residents are also exposed to a wide variety of primary care admissions. Completion of our program provides a diverse general pediatric background suitable for confident entry into private practice or fellowship training. | 
| Program is ideal size for housestaff camaraderie and allows for flexibility of scheduling between residents and supportive work environment. | 
| Strong academic base through role-models, conferences, and a tradition of high quality faculty teaching presentations. | 
| Opportunities to explore community medicine through rotations at Forsyth Medical Center, the Downtown Health Plaza, and through outpatient experience in a local pediatrician's office. |
