            House Staff Salaries 2009—2010

                    HO I    $43,000

                    HO II   $44,000

                    HO III  $45,000
                    
HO IV  $46,000

  • Pay Advance Program for Incoming Residents is available.  The program allows the residents to request an advance in their contract salary up to $2,000.

Resident Benefits

  • 3 weeks vacation per year in addition to 5-6 days off over Christmas or New Years.
  • Free covered parking adjacent to the medical center.
  • Lunch provided at 1-2 noon conferences per week (our department has a no drug-rep policy)
  • Two lab coats with individual embroidery and Brenner logo, along with free dry cleaning
  • Two meals per call night to use in the cafeteria, Dominos, or Einstein’s Bagels.
  • Book money to use for conferences, travel, books, testing, or licensing:  First year-$100, Second year-$500, Third year-$500.

Family Benefits:

  • Children’s Choice Learning Center (CCLC)adjacent to the medical center.  Child care is available to all employees, including residents, between the ages of 6 weeks to five years old.  Hours of operation are 6:00am to 6:15pm, Monday—Friday.
  • Resident Spouses Association (RSA)offers a wonderful opportunity for support and fellowship among resident’s and their spouses.  They offer social activities, fundraisers, and assistance on moving to Winston Salem.
