Facilities

Brenner Children’s Hospital, which opened in 1986 with a generous donation from the Brenner family, is located in Ardmore Tower West (a hospital within a hospital) at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

In 1989, 1996 and 2002, new facilities expanded the Children’s hospital to 160 beds.

Construction was completed on the new facility for Brenner Children's Hospital in spring, 2002. Brenner Children’s Hospital includes ample work space for residents with computer access to laboratory and X-ray results, attractive waiting areas for families, laundry facilities for families of patients, a small house staff laboratory, conference rooms, and a pediatric satellite pharmacy. The Ronald McDonald House is located across the street from the Medical Center and provides a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children.
