The Division of Pastoral Care has its beginnings with the pioneering work of Dr. Richard K. Young, who founded what was then called The School of Pastoral Care at North Carolina Baptist Hospital, in 1947. Reorganized in May of 1995, our division now consists of the following four departments:

Our mission statement authentically represents who we are. It reads: The Division of Pastoral Care offers ministries of growth, hope, and healing in the Spirit of Christ.
A detailed description of the specific services and ministries of each department and instructions as to how to access these services follows. It is our desire that this information would indeed facilitate growth, hope and healing for all those who utilize our resources and services.
