While treating the region’s sickest children, this multidisciplinary team also works with the General Clinical Research Center at Wake Forest University School of Medicine to discover better anti-rejection therapies and develop new research protocols to help patients recover more quickly, achieve normal growth and development, and live full lives. The transplant team at Brenner Children’s has successfully performed renal transplants in infants and children for over 30 years.
