Pediatric Urology

image001Aggressive treatment of voiding dysfunction includes urodynamics and biofeedback techniques. For patients with spina bifida, surgeons can perform extensive reconstructive surgery in order to preserve kidney function and attain continence.

Pediatric urologists use both open and laparoscopic surgical techniques for undescended testicles. Using advanced surgical techniques, they can correct malformation of the penis before it affects voiding and fertility. Pediatric urologists also treat urinary tract infections, hydronephrosis and vesicoureteral reflux.
