Pediatric Oncology

The pediatric oncology program provides comprehensive treatment programs for most childhood malignancies. As an active participant in cooperative national trials through the Pediatric Oncology Group (POG), pediatric oncology offers the most advanced treatments available. As a national Pediatric Oncology Group resource, our cytogenics laboratory, the first in the state, is engaged in leukemia cell research to find the best treatment methods for children.

Brenner Children’s pediatric oncology department helps children with various forms of cancer. Our pediatric oncology center has treated thousands of children from western North Carolina, as well as parts of Virginia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. A part of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Brenner Children’s pediatric oncology department treats patients from birth to age 18.

Visit the Brenner Children’s Hospital web site to learn more about our pediatric oncology department.
