Child conditions & diseases: ADHD, Asthma, Cystic Fibrosis, Meningitis & More

Choosing the right pediatrician for your child is extremely important. When deciding on a pediatrician or a pediatric specialist consider the following:

·        Two of the most important qualities you should look for in a pediatrician are competence and compassion.

·        Check the credentials of the pediatrician with the state medical association and with the American Board of Medical Specialists.

·        Board certification, which means that a pediatrician has done a residency in a particular specialty, is one credential to check.

·        Ask about particular procedures the pediatrician has had experience with.

·         Ask friends or relatives if they know of others who have been seen by the pediatrician in question.

Let Brenner Children’s Hospital help you find the right Pediatrician for your child’s needs.
