Classes & Events

Brenner FIT

Join the experts from Brenner Children's Hospital for these FREE Brenner FIT Kohl's Family Collaborative classesRegistration is required. Classes are held at the William G. White Jr. Family YMCA in Brenner FIT, 775 West End Blvd., Winston-Salem. Day care is available for classes held at the YMCA; please arrive 10 minutes prior to class for check-in. 

Car Seat Checks 

Brenner Children's Hospital Pediatric Injury Prevention Program along with Safe Kids Northwest Piedmont hosts monthly car seat check events.

10am - 1pm 

Location 

Appointments recommended.

In case of inclement weather, the car seat checks will be moved to Fire Station #2 located at 405 Somerset Dr. Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Please check our Safe Kids Northwest Piedmont Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages for an update on the location. 

Upcoming dates can be found on the Birth Center website. Please sign-up to secure your spot.

    When coming to the free car seat check, please bring:

    • The vehicle your child will be riding in
    • Your child safety seat
    • Your child safety seat manual
    • Your car owner’s manual
    • Your child (if possible)
    • Your child’s current height and weight (if possible)
