Baha® Hearing Device for Children

Our pediatric otolaryngologists are highly trained in the use and placement of Baha®, also known as a bone anchored hearing aid. They collaborate with audiologists who are experts in pediatric hearing loss.

Baha® is an implantable hearing device that is used for single-sided sensorineural hearing loss (nerve loss) and sends sound signals to the functioning ear. It can also help children with conductive hearing loss (hearing bone, ear canal or middle ear problems) by sending signals around the outer portions of the ear directly to the cochlear or inner ear.

Baha® can be used for children with hearing difficulties including microtia, ear canal atresia, single-sided deafness, severe draining ear disease and hearing impairment, to name a few.
