In order to help protect patients, family members and health care workers from the spread of COVID-19, no visitors are allowed at any of Wake Forest Baptist Health’s outpatient or inpatient facilities, except in certain situations.

At this time, Wake Forest Baptist Health is following state and national guidelines and is limiting COVID-19 testing in the outpatient setting to only patients ill enough to require admission to the hospital.

Brenner Children’s Hospital, which opened in 1986 with a generous donation from the Brenner family, is located in Ardmore Tower West (a hospital within a hospital) at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. 

Construction was completed on the new facility for Brenner Children's Hospital in spring, 2002.

Brenner Children’s Hospital includes:

  • Ample work space for residents with computer access to laboratory and X-ray results
  • Attractive waiting areas for families
  • Laundry facilities for families of patients
  • A small house staff laboratory
  • Conference rooms
  • A pediatric satellite pharmacy

The Ronald McDonald House is located across the street from the Medical Center and provides a "home away from home" for families of seriously ill children.
