Accredited and licensed by State of NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Mental Health, our program provides day treatment services for 16 children ages 3-7 with behavioral and emotional disorders.

Our professional staff have numerous years of experience and expertise in fields that include:

  • Educational therapy
  • Music therapy
  • Recreation therapy
  • Behavioral therapy

At the Therapeutic Day Program, each child has an individualized Person-centered Plan to address treatment goals.

Our team of experts provide behavior management strategies which emphasize positive reinforcement, development of appropriate social skills, academic instruction by a Winston-Salem Forsyth County teacher, and community outings to provide practice for reintegration to your child's school and home setting.

In addition, our program employs a clinical social worker to provide parent training and set up services for family in the community. The program's child psychologist develops an individual behavior plan for each child, assists with parent training and provides psychotherapy or testing as needed. If your child exhibits any other significant behaviors, the psychologist and clinical social worker are qualified to identify and give a diagnosis.

Professional therapy staff will provide training for classroom personnel when your child is ready to transition back into her or her school setting.

Developmental and behavioral pediatricians from Wake Forest Baptist Health are on site for consultation and medication management if deemed advisable.
